Hi, my name is Iman Baldiwala-Hoosenally and I recently attended Part 1 of the 3-part series on The Foundations of Building DEI in the Workplace hosted by Alysha Campbell. The half-hour session was jam-packed with insights and guidance. The manifesto template and sample that Alysha shared were the perfect step-by-step guide for a kicking-off point to gain buy-in on DE&I strategy and mission from stakeholders and the company. I can’t wait to put it into action. Alysha took the time to walk through the why and how of implementing a manifesto and was extremely generous in sharing her knowledge and experience. She was able to reassure those of us on the call that the manifesto could be morphed to fit our individual needs to ensure the end goal of implementing a solid DE&I foundation is easily achieved. It’s always a pleasure to hear Alysha speak and I am looking forward to Part 2 later this week.
